Saturdays NYC x Moon Collective
Moon Collective & Saturday’s collaboration is a celebration of AAPI heritage month. Thematically, it is inspired by Moon Studio’s journey for self discovery and exploration.
The concept for this year’s collaboration is focused around our Asian American heritage representing us in all aspects of our existence. We are here as a part of our beloved community, enriching the cities and small towns we have immigrated to. We are the shop keeper at your corner store, your professor, aspiring artist, friend and ally.
Like a cinematic film about the heron traveling between time and space, we are the future and the past and forever on. We continue to seek help representing our collective movement and ask one another, to make sure all our loved ones get home safe.
The energy was so great at the event and we are so grateful for everyone that came by in the rain. So many old and new friends from the bay, Honolulu and Ny. It was such a dream ✨
With our in store sales and Sesame Projects raffles we are excited for all the money we raised for @welcome.to.chinatown, all thanks to YOU!
Much love and gratitude to our partners @saturdaysnyc & @sesameprojects for giving our studio the opportunity to be apart of this community. We ❤️ NY.
"I believe that the things you notice - that you love, that make you pause — make up who you are. And so it feels, in a way, like those things are a part of you, even though they are outside of you. Which makes me wonder if it would be more accurate to say, perhaps, that a piece of you is kept alive by a part of them." - Jonny Sun
